The City Beautiful (April 1997)
this exhibition examined the state of an artistic tradition which is as old as the birth of cityscape painting. In Europe the first images of cities were all encompassing, celebratory panoramic 'visions'. This exhibition demonstrated that the tradition was very much alive with artists such as Jiro Osuga, Michael Heindorff, Richard Gilbert and Timothy Hyman.
